At the Teamwork & Project Collaboration Stage, Workplace becomes central to get things done with your colleagues. Teams and projects are being led through groups, documents are being shared using integrations and instant communication happens in Work Chat.
To make the most out of the Collaborating Stage, focus on:
1. Activating Workplace integrations
Workplace offers various integrations with tools such as Box, Office 365, Dropbox, G-Suite, Quip, BlueJeans... Activating them will allow the members of your organization to collaborate more easily thanks to file sharing, meeting broadcast, etc.
2. Educating middle management
Showing managers how they can use Workplace to manage their team and projects is a great way to bring the whole team on board. For example, they can use groups for their teams, Live for important one-to-many communication, events to plan off-sites. There a many ways management can use Workplace to improve efficiency.
3. Promoting 1-to-1 groups
Groups are a great way to handle the usual manager/report relationship. By creating 1-to-1 groups with their reports, managers can keep track of objectives, plan training, share private feedback, among other ideas.
4. Adopting Work Chat company-wide
The ability to quickly reach out to your colleagues is key when collaborating on a project. Thanks to Work Chat, it is possible to start a conversation really easily from any page in Workplace and even start an audio or video call from their browser or smartphone applications.
Replacing other official or non-official chats (Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp...) is a first step to get company-wide adoption.
5. Working with third parties in multi-company groups
Using Workplace to interact with customers and partners is a great way to make the most out of the Collaborating stage. Multi company groups allow you to invite anyone to collaborate with you, whether their organization is on Workplace on not.
