Select a group of Champions who represent your organization and can help build buy-in and engagement in your Workplace community
Give Champions the privilege of early access to the Workplace community so they can build on your baseline group structure and generating content
Leverage champions to support hard-to-reach employees and influence their networks to come to Workplace
The Role of Champions
Champions should be given early access to help prepare the community for D-Day. They create groups and post content to ensure a welcoming user-experience for all your employees with context around your goals and content you wish to see. They also relay key information about the arrival of Workplace.
Champions are key to get their colleagues to activate their account. As early experts, they can share knowledge and raise awareness regarding Workplace's functionalities and relay your communication campaign at a local level.
Champions keep on being a key part of any engagement campaign. They allow you to reach and inspire all your employees, especially the ones that are lagging behind in engagement.
How to chose the right Champions?
You need to select 10%-20% of your organization as Champions to create a meaningful and welcoming experience.
These Champions need to be a representative sample of your organization. All departments, locations, generations, level of management, should be represented in your Champions group.
Your Champions should also be chosen for their influence within your organization and early adopter behaviours (network savvy, visionary, motivator, etc).
